A Royal vision for an African platform

From Morocco, for Africa—and connected to the world.

Under the forward-looking leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco has spent more than two decades building the infrastructure, institutions, industrial capability and international partnerships required to operate as a strategic bridge for the African continent. The Royal vision has positioned the Kingdom not simply as a destination for investment, but as a platform from which capital, manufacturing, technology, logistics, renewable energy and innovation can serve African markets—developed in Africa, anchored in Morocco and connected to global value chains. From world-class ports and financial services to advanced industry, clean energy, research and entrepreneurship, Morocco is building an environment where African capability can create value for Africa and compete internationally.

Serve Africa, from Africa.
Why Morocco

A platform built for production, investment and scale.

Morocco combines African depth with proximity to Europe, Atlantic and Mediterranean connectivity, an established industrial base, financial infrastructure and a growing innovation ecosystem.

01 · AFRICA

Africa-facing platform

Morocco has strengthened its role in South–South cooperation and continental partnerships, giving investors a practical base from which to develop, finance and serve African markets.

02 · CONNECTIVITY

Global logistics

World-class port, road, rail and air infrastructure connects Moroccan industry to Europe, Africa, the Atlantic and international supply chains.

03 · INDUSTRY

Advanced manufacturing

Automotive, aerospace, electronics and other high-value industrial ecosystems provide a foundation for suppliers, engineering companies and export-oriented production.

04 · FINANCE

Regional financial gateway

Morocco has developed financial mechanisms and institutions designed to mobilize investment, while Casablanca has established itself as a significant regional financial centre.

05 · INNOVATION

Innovation and R&D

Industrial policy increasingly links companies, engineering, research, skills and future-oriented technologies to strengthen local value creation and competitiveness.

06 · TALENT

Engineering and skills

A growing base of engineers, technicians, universities, vocational programmes and entrepreneurs supports industrial growth and the development of new technical capabilities.

Industrial opportunity

Build where value chains are already taking shape.

Morocco’s industrial strategy has developed export-oriented ecosystems while creating room for new suppliers, technology partners and higher-value local production.

Energy storageBattery systems, BMS, power electronics, thermal management and lifecycle services.
Green hydrogenIntegrated renewable, electrolysis and downstream project opportunities.
Industrial efficiencyElectrification, automation, monitoring, energy management and lower-carbon production.
Investment framework

A clearer path from project to implementation.

Morocco’s investment framework combines national strategy, regional investment support and targeted mechanisms intended to accelerate productive private investment.

Investment Charter

The national framework directs investment toward strategic priorities, employment, territorial development and priority activities. Support depends on the project, location, eligibility and applicable programme.

Regional Investment Centres

Regional Investment Centres are designed to accompany investors through procedures, regional opportunities and project implementation at the territorial level.

MSME support

Current support mechanisms for qualifying micro, small and medium enterprises can combine job-creation, territorial and priority-activity incentives, with support reaching up to 30% of eligible investment under applicable conditions.

Innovation support

Current industrial innovation programmes include support for patent valorisation, R&D and pilot industrialization, reinforcing the link between engineering, research and production.

I2PS perspective

Investment becomes impact when it creates local capability.

I2PS approaches Morocco’s investment opportunity from an engineering perspective: develop practical systems, strengthen local technical skills, work with Moroccan suppliers, design for maintainability and build products that can serve regional needs. The objective is not simply to manufacture in Morocco—it is to build capability in Morocco that can support Africa and compete globally.
